정창균 작가는 오디오, 비주얼을 중심으로 활동하며, 특히 프로그래밍, 필드레코딩 등 다양한 고도의 기술을 사용하여 사운드를 제작합니다. 이번 발표에서는 사운드를 녹음하고 사운드 오브젝트를 제작하여 사운드스케이프/인터랙티브 디자인을 합니다.

강민승, 박시영은 광주에서 #사심지 라는 무가지를 만들고 배포하고 있습니다. 문화 저변이 다양하지 않은 광주에서 문화의 지평을 넓히려고 노력하고 있으며, 상주 기간동안 잡지를 편찬했고, 이번 발표에서는 ‘사심페스티벌’ 을 통해, 광주의 서브 컬쳐에 대해 생각해보고 즐기는 기회를 기획했습니다. 사심페스티벌은 바림 6층에서 이루어지며, 바림의 기획자가 아닌 강민승, 박시영에 의해 독자적으로 기획되었습니다.

Hui 는 전자음악을 공부하면서 프로그래밍을 통한 작곡을 포함하여, 퍼포먼스, 비주얼 아트 쪽으로도 다양하게 활동하고 있는 작가입니다. 광주에 체재하며 웨딩과 웨딩문화에 대한 작품을 제작하였고, 정창균 작가와 함께 사운드 퍼포먼스를 선보입니다.

Ciara 와 Lisa는 비주얼 그래픽의 합성과 라이브 방송을 접합시킨 퍼포먼스를 중심으로 작업하는 듀오입니다. 이번 퍼포먼스는 바림 옥상에서 이루어지며, 아일랜드의 역사와 광주의 역사에 대한 리서치를 기반으로한, 국가와 국적을 넘어선 애국에 대한 이야기 입니다. 광주적 애국심, 아일랜드적 애국심에 대한 이야기를 새로운(예술적으로 만들어진) 환경/풍경에서 이야기합니다.

A new exhibition and performance announcement!
Barim residency 2016 opens on 7pm, 24 September, and we would like to share the result after two months of residency from Aug-Sep.

Changgyun works in audio, visual fields especially using programming, field recording and various different highly technological tools to create music. At Barim, he records sound and creates sound objects to design soundscape and interactive works.
#Minseung_Kang & #Siyoung_Park(Gwangju)
Minseung&Siyoung make and publish a free magazine called “sasimji” in Gwangju. They work on expanding the realm of Gwangju culture where very little of cultural base exists. At Barim, they’ve published a new magazine edition, and organize ‘sasim festival’ which is an opportunity to rethink and enjoy the subculture in Gwangju. The festival is happening at Barim 6F, but organized independently by Minseung and Siyoung, not by a Barim curator. (For the detail, please click the hashtag #사심페스티벌 )
#Hui_Ye (Austria/China)
Hui studied electronic music, and including composition using programming, she works in a field of performance and visual arts as well. During her stay, she created a work about wedding and its culture, and presents a sound performance with Changgyun.

Ciara&Lisa work as a performance duo whose works are made with visual graphic composition and live broadcast. Performance will happen on the rooftop of Barim, and is about patriotism beyond nation and state, based on the research of Irish and Gwangju histories. This performance also mentions the patriotism in Gwangju and that in Ireland in a new (artistically made) landscape/environment.
