2017 Jeong Yul-Seong Musical Concert

Gwangju Cultural Foundation has annually organized ‘Jeong Yul-Seong Visiting Musical Concert’ in Gwangju.

During the time, 5.13.~10.28 on Every 2nd and 4th Saturday at 5pm,

the performance team will visit to Yangnimdong, outdoor stage of Geumnam Park and auditorium of Soongil Middle School so on and give citizens an opportunity to meet with one of the famous composer through his music.

​ 

Jeong Yul-seong was born in Gwangju and moved to China when he was 18 years old and became one of the three most important musical composers in the country.

As Famous songs, there are “Yeongahnsong”, “Eight Route Army March,” and as well as “Yeonsuyo” which were used for the 1990 Beijing Asian Games Opening Ceremony and the 2000 Summit Meeting between the South and North Korean leaders, Kim Dae-jung and Kim Jeong-il.
