2017 Gwangju Fringe Festival

※ Because of intense weather, the festival will start from 7:30 during August.

2017.4.22.~12.16 On Every Saturday!

In the area of Geumnamno and 5.18 Democratic Square, from 2pm to 7pm,

Gwangju Citizens and visitors can enjoy street performance, cultural activity casually.

‘Fringe Festival’ is known for as a representative of ‘Square Culture Festival’ which any of artists from amateur, professional to citizens can participate in to show their artistic talents while being free from specific frame or rule for arts

The theme of this year is ‘Entrancing Metamorphosis’, meaning that Gwangju city hopes to be transformed into ‘Culture City’ through transformation of space, human, daily life, economy and performance,

The program is composed of three categories, Information&Promotion, Citizen-Participatory Activities and Performance&Contest.

People can go around while experiencing street performance(‘Busking’), comic play, creative performance, market;selling handmade-product etc, several activities, participatory performance so on.

The secretariat of Fringe Festival opens to accept application of performance team’s participation every month.
